Service Description
Class Duration: 5 Days Course Hours: 9am-5:00pm * A minimum of 10 students will be needed for this class to be offered* This course provides local- and state- level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Safety Officer (SOFR) on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). These responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) Responding to the incident and the safety needs of the incident 2) Effectively fulfilling the position responsibilities of an SOFR on an AHIMT This course is an instructor-led training that supports learning through discussion, lecture, and active participation in multiple exercises that provides a realistic, scenario-driven approach to mastering the skills required of a SOFR. Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable participants to process and apply their new knowledge. PREREQUISITES: IS-0100 An Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS-100 IS-0200 Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, ICS-200 E/L/G 0300 Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents, ICS-300 E/L/G 0400 Advanced Incident Command System for Complex Incidents, ICS-400 IS-0700 An Introduction to the National Incident Management System IS-0800 National Response Framework (NRF) REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS *Please Read Carefully* To register for the class, please complete the following process: 1) Click “Book Now” on this webpage and follow the instructions to reserve a seat for the class. 2) Upload required prerequisites through the “Book Now” process NOTE: Students will not be registered for the class unless they provide the requested prerequisites. 3) Once you have uploaded your prerequisites, complete the payment process. 4) Once your prerequisites have been verified, you will be provided a link and coupon code to register for the class through FEMA. NOTE: If registration through FEMA is not completed, students cannot attend class.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel your registration and receive a refund you need to contact SS Fire Training 35-calendar days prior to the first day of the class. A $15 refund processing fee will be deducted from the total refund amount for each class canceled. However, if you cancel your registration within 30-calendar days of the first day of class you can carryover your registration towards any class we offer now or in the future. You will not lose your class registration. Just contact us to cancel and/or to apply your cancelled registration towards another SS Fire Training class.
